“This was the last show on the Joe Perry Project’s 2010 UK tour. We’d played Wembley Arena the night before, with Bad Company, which was great. But I loved this one the most.
The 100 Club is a Soho basement on Oxford Street, London, that’s been there for decades. Cleo Laine, George Melly, the Rolling Stones, the Sex Pistols, the Clash, all of them played on this stage. Paul McCartney brought his band in there a few months ago.
The club is like a History of London Music, the kind of place Andrew Loog Oldham and Keith Richard hung out at when they were 21. You can clearly see the chemistry between me and Marty Richards on drums, who never stops amazing me, the guy’s brilliant. Totally attitude driven, with a lot of swagger and grease. I, for one, had the best time imaginable.”-David Hull
